Having existed for nearly 2,000 years as the "keepers of the archives", the office of the City Clerk is one of the oldest government professions. The City Clerk performs a variety of professional and administrative duties in accordance with the California Elections Code, the Political Reform Act, California Public Records Act, and the City's Municipal Code. The City Clerk is the link that connects the residents of Live Oak to their government.
