The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Live Oak

  • On June 7, 2006 the City Council declared the need for a redevelopment agency in the City and declared that Council will act as the Agency pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 33101 and 33200.
  • On December 29, 2011, the Supreme Court upheld ABX1 26 the redevelopment elimination bill and struck down ABX127 , the bill that would have allowed agencies to stay in operation as long as they made payments to the state.
  • On February 1, 2012 The City Council of the City of Live Oak elected to act as the Successor Agency for the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Live Oak.  The first requirement of the Successor Agency was to create an Oversight Board, consisting of seven appointed members, which would see to the winding down of the affairs of the former Redevelopment  Agency of the City of Live Oak.
